Default James Bulger - ITV - Very Sad Viewing.

What happened to that child was horrificly bad. Terrible even. However, as much as I want to feel sorry for the Mother, I can't. How do two Ten year old boys walk off with your Child? Wouldn't happen with my Child.

Please Discuss,

Benni.

what concerns me is they were only 10. Had it been a few months earlier and they were under 10 then they could not have been prosecuted. The sense of right and wrong doesnt suddenly switch on at age 10, its just an average deemed to be a safe point to cover most cases.

shows the two murderers must have been really fucked up long before they killed james. I wonder what made them go bad?? bad parenting??? Or were they both just "born evil"???

I'm not a Cunt; I'm a man with an opinion. What I do know is for someone to take my Children off me they would have to be forced from my own hands.

YEs what they did was sick, but think about it logically, what are the chances of two very sick evil children living close to each other, meeting each other, becoming friends, then planning and executing such a crime?????

very slim really unless theres a fuck load of evil evil kids out there.

So ther must be other factors that caused it. I dont think a film alone would cause them to actually murder. Bad parenting? Neglect?? bad role models???

I suspect we shall never know.

When I have looked after Family and Friends Children I have done, more or less. Those times I felt it safe to allow them to walk beside me without my hand, I made sure they was beside me and nowhere else. I can assure you no-one would of come within an inch of taking them away from me.

Any dad with the opinion that she shouldnt have let her eyes off him for 10 seconds has got serious issues.

Kids wander off and obviosly you do youre best to keep them right with you. but 10 seconds and he is being walked off by two sick freaks that should have been put down.

The Mother does not look a million dollars but come on to try and justify the brutal torture and killing of a two year old boy by saying she should not have took her eyes off him is a little sick.

exactly more or less and her son was taken from her just imagine th fear in the boys head at the time...

Very upsetting... Read up on it on wikipedia disgusting story... I can feel nothing but sadness for the boy. I see how scared my 2 year old daughter is of pretend monsters under her bed.

Just imagine what he must have been thinking while that was happening....

Very Very upsetting indeed.

If you read my full reply, you will see I have only let them off when I knew it was safe to do so. This is not in a crowded Shopping centre. This is while I am half an Inch beside them and know full well they are as safe as possible.

i am normally very hard when it comes to silly parents. Even very very critical of maddies parents but i cant see how you cant feel sorry for a mother that has lost her two year old in such a horrific way.

And then they are let out at 20 years old to live there life, one of them is now married and his wife knows nothing about his past ffs.

The boy had his whole life ahead of him. I have a lot of sorry feeling for the mother. You make a 10 scond mistake and that deserves youre son to be murdered

No way mate.

I feel very sorry for the poor boy; I should of made this very clear. He had, like you said, a whole life ahead of him. Such a shame. I am just failing to see how a pair of kids can walk off with her Son.

Partly a moot point as I think it’s safe to say natural selection has made it a fortunate near certainty that you will never be given the opportunity to reproduce. I do however agree with you in that a vast majority of people are absolute idiots; reckless and careless when it comes to looking after children. You've only got to wander through a few busy shops and see how totally oblivious people are to potential danger - they can barely look after themselves let alone a child.

To be honest it absolutely amazes me how someone can just "lose" a child.

THEYGOTMETOO.

She didnt lose her child her child was taken. Her eyes were taken off her child for 10 seconds and in that time he was being walked off by two older boys.

I have always got my eyes on my kids and in a way i think no i would never take my eyes off my kids but im sure she thought the same. are you honestly saying she just would have let her two year old go off. no parent would.

No one expected two boys to do that and that was why they wasnt stopped.

I dont think theres any danger of benni having kids Surely no female would let him put that miniscule growth that he calls a penis anywhere near them, not whilst they were conscious anyway

As for saying "it wouldnt happen with my child" I'm sure that with even the most perfect caring parents in the world theres always going to be an opportunity (nomatter how small) for some sick c**t like in the bulger case to snatch them

I have 2 kids, thank god they have made it to 15 & 18 but I have say,it was bloody hard work concentrating on what I needed to do aswell as keep an eye on the 2 nippers 100% of the time, when we were out.
The point is you can't no matter how hard you try and it only took a couple of seconds for little jamie to be taken, especialy in a shopping mall, where it's busy.

I hope of never happens to one of your kids benni or anyones elses and I hope you can keep an eye on your kids 100% of the time then all will be well, but to say that you don't have sympathy for jamies mum is a bit low in my book.

i agree to an extent that you physically cannot keep your eyes on a child 100% of the time, but in a busy shopping mall, even if i couldnt keep my eyes on the child the whole time, i kno id keep my HAND on that child the whole time. a persons sight and mind can wonder, but the physical grip should surely be a formality

i wouldnt say i would apportion any blame to the mother as its not a situation where blame lays anywhere except on the twisted lads who did the deed, but i must say i can kinda see what benni is saying

dont shoot me down for that though

sorry but i sort of agree with benni here,,,,, the child was 2 years old ffs,,,,, ive got a 5 year old and shes NEVER over of my sight,,,,,,,,,,, my missus is even WORSE than me, she HAS to hold her hand,,,,,she PETRIFIED of her walking off,,, REALLY as in she aint allowed outside the front door,,, UNLESS shes can bee seen,,, in the fucking doorway

theres a kid a few doors away about 2 years older,,,,, hes outside digging in the mud on hers own and hes mum just shouts from the house,,,, not even opens the door and he comes back home

my missus ALWAYS tests my little one too about " did daddy hold your hand on the way to school",,,,, she even went into school when my little one got a nasty briuse on here and the teacher didnt have a ckue what happened,,, my missus LOST it and was about to chin her

ok my missus is a little OTT ill admit but when im on road with my child shes always furthest frm the curb,,,,, if i cross the road again furthest from the car and im always with her hand in mine,,,, unless a shop where i know the staff then shes allowed to go within 5 meters but I MUST BE ABLE TO SEE HERE

IBV the mum DONT deserve that,,,,,, NOBODY DOES but a 2 year old baby,,,,,, NOBODY would let them out of there hand at ANY point
