Bashed 04 plate Tranny value.
The roofers in our yard have had a mishap in the snow and done the front end of their van. So when it came to estimating it it was slagged for everything it could be. The parts alone came to £2k then labour to be added to it.
Anyway I mentioned if it was cheap enough Id buy it for myself instead of my old K plater donkey. Its a 50k mile, think it was 85/280 whatever that means. Its not mint obviously as its been a roofers van but its no way a bad thing.
Just wondered what you think I should offer for it? Bearing in mind it doesnt "need" all the parts I estimated for and I will repair and paint it myself at work so no labour costs.

My company has an 85 with a cutain sider box on the back (used to be a pickup) and it barely does 60 on the flat, 50 up gradual hills. Will do 70 at a push with a ton in the back down hill
Deffo in our case a gutless lump - could be the engine, but I really don't rate ours.
Is it driveable? Deffo worth driving it to see how good or bad it is, and what if any mechanical work is needed.

It drives fine round the industrial estate, didnt go too far cos the rad leaks from the bash.
It felt a bit sluggish but the back is full of gear. Was still quick compared to mine unladen
