Default help fans not kicking in??

Can anyone offer some advice here as I can't see why my fans won't work.
(2wd saff coss)

New fan loom fitted.(bridged plug and fans work so loom is fine)
2 new fan switches tried
2 different header caps tried
All hoses getting hot( so stat is opening )
Rad feels warm (top and both bottom corners)
Heaters blowing hot
Rad drained twice, then system re-filled and ran up for 20-30 mins with header cap off to get rid of any air locks.

Wtf am I missing here .

By bridged it I mean I unpluged the fan swithch/sender plug and put a wire across it to bridge and make a circuit. The same as the switch does.

Its wired up right as the above makes the fans work.

As for the fan switch/sender in the rad (which is a std ford rad) is the std 88/77 deg C . The temp on the dash reads into the red still with no fans and the secs monitor Ive had up to 95 deg C.

then it has to be a dodgy sender mate

i know you have had 2 now were they both new?

if the fans work bridged, then the only thing it can be is the sender as thats all thats left

Stat would cause a cool hose though surley?

Had an old sender to start with then two brand spankers from matt lewis.
So I actually tried three of them.

How many wires are on the fan switch sendor - could it possibly be that the new fan loom has been wired slightly wrong - i.e. pins are in the wrong place?

There are only two pins and the switch / sender only bridges these two when at 88deg C and stops at 77 so it cant be wrong can it.

Loader,

The secs monitor takes its reading from the back of the head, inlet side as im sure you know. What if for some reason the fan switch in the rad is not seeing that temp. Its usually only a couple of degrees c difference though mate

Well thats the only thing I can think of, but why ?
As said Ive tried 3 differenent senders in the rad .
I cant see the diff between the two senders being much more than 7 degrees give or take a couple each way as lets face it they're hardly expensive high tech ones are they.

I think Im gonna have to try another rad as it must be some sort of blockage or poor flow causing the bottom of the rad to not "reach 88 marty".

Thermostat not opening fully or blocked rad would be my guess. Talking of fan switches, get yourself one from Stu as they shut off the fans quicker. Im sure you will have noticed ho f'ing long the fans stay on for while it tries to get the water down to 77 degress. Stu's go off at 85 rather than hammering your electrical circuit

Rich,
Engine has only done 4k ish from new build with 50/50 mix coolant so I doubt the stat in buggered allready. I'll try a rad fix .
my loom is overkill so the 77 deg shut off aint a prob.

Smart,
I'll prob take it out for a shake down tonite with the fans on a switch anyway as the mrs is out .
Still pedalin' when its not minus degrees outside that is.
