i thought i was cured aswell,i was a cossaholic ,i would get up every morning and want one ,drive one,abuse one ,fix one .finally after six years without one i thought thats bit im cured then last january the craving started again,so i started by joining pf looking at pistonheads.by april the cravings got unbearable ended up in stranraer and bought silky16v 380bhop 4b and thought now thats it your back on the cossies ,slowly i sunk deeper and deeper into my illness and thought well 2wds are more fun so last week i ended up in stranraer agaain and bought jim greens/staffis old [but looks new]shell ,engine and zoo rear beam and thats me with the basis for a mega rebuild.i have to go to go to the doctor now to get more pills now to cure me although im not confident and either is the wife who has taken my wallet.so be careful i had none and now after six years i have two.

I'm sure the craving will come back in time, we all KNOW there are better cars out there, and have had them, but its odd the craving DOES come back you start to want one again, even when you know its madness

Yes there are better/newer cars out there, but the cosworth will always be iconic

the germans may now make better more affordable cars than the cosworth, but you'll always compare them to a cossie be it an m3/5 or some form of audi

you won't say "this audi i've got is nearly as quick as my bemmer becuase no one will now what you are on about, but if you say "this audi is nearly as quick as my stg 3 saph" peole instantly know what you are on about

and tha'ts why the cossie will always remain the benchmark when it comes to comparing stuff, everyone know what each stage of car will do

my stage 1 3 dor, even though it's been nearly 15 year since i burnt it, still provides me with happy memories that i will pass on to my kids and grandkids
