Default Traders policy question

My boss just had his new policy come through, and it says that his missus is a named driver but it says also that anyone who works for him etc in a totally different sentence sorry cant be more clear but cant remember the exact words, anyway just wondered why u wouldnt be a named driver if you are covered, if you work for him anyway? (if u get what im saying lol)
just dont want to get bent over for driving his cars for him, and yes my boss has blagged me many times im covered, hence the worry.

Because it would be a pain in the arse to change the details everytime he hires/fires someone?

sometimes a named driver on a trade policy will b covered for work and private useage, whereas employees purely for work useage, and because there tends to be a fair number of employees covered on a fair number of vehicles but only for work hours, u dnt name them

your company will take a copy of your liecence and paper counterpart, and thats all the insurance company will ask for

u wont b named, but the insurance will know u exist and the intention is there for u to use the vehicles in work time for work purposes

usually your only fully named on the policy if its to cover u for full useage both private and work related

named drivers cannot drive any car that belongs to them under a traders policy ( or registered to them ).

So dont think you can drive your own car as a named driver on someone elses policy.

The main policy holder can.
