Default Wheel Offset

hi

use this calculator to work out the difference between your original wheels and any new ones you may be considering.

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

once you have done the calculation just go out and check on your car if there is enough clearance with the new dimensions as calculated.

remember the calculator is only for the rim, if you are going to use a wider tyre then don't forget to adjust the calculated figures to suit.

hope this makes sense and helps you out.

speak to martin hadland of reyland fame, he'll be able to sort you out a set of rims with whatever offset you need, i know that the racing puma's had some weird offset, but i'm not sure if that was to fill the arches or just to clear the brakes, that's the first step to getting what you want, no use getting a set of rims that have the right offset but fail to clear the 4 pots
