But you could say that either way, as someone can win the championship on the existing points system also before the last race!

I should think with everyone been so hungry, to now get that 1st place, its highly unlikley that there will be just one or two clear leaders early in the season.

people will take more risks and make more mistakes which should hopefully make predicting championship less obvious!?

Makes me laugh all this vitriol against Bernie. Too many green eyes out there that the guy actually made something of himself and got VERY wealthy in the process.

If it was such a crap idea why are ALL the teams in agreement? They have as much to lose as anybody if they give their competitors an advantage.

I'm no fan of the idea, I'd prefer to see the points re-evaluated as there's no incentive to go for win if its only 2 points difference. Maybe try the MotoGP/WSBK route of 25,20, all the way down to 15th getting 1 point.

great idea! it'll make the drivers more 'racey' it's been bollocks since they changed the points system from 6 points to 8 points for second place, not fair on the winner if you ask me, that they only make 2 points over secod place!

bring back the old points scoring,

no one will want to settle for second place then, they should be in it to win it!
