Intercooler into rs500 front bumper?
Anyone ever fitted an FMIC into the front bumper of a RS500, rather than sat in the engine bay like normal?
Guess i'll need to start cracking out the holesaw to get some more air through it?
I realise that an original rs500 bumper is a little on the valuable side to start cutting up, but on the other hand its already painted the right colour and i like the look of it, so i dont want to have to swap to a different one and get it painted and risk it not matching well etc.
I realise my 500 cooler wont fit and i'll need to get a new one (or two) that fit the space better

yeha I dont care about making up mounting points etc, its more a concern over air flow if its that close into the bumper that worries me, the air has chance to spared out before it hits the cooler currently, and im worried cooling ineffiency may drop if I move the cooler into the front bumper.
Was hoping to sit it in front of the cross member if possible, so it can stay complete:
But If I have to get the grinder out its not the end of the world.

HOw about using 2 or 3 x 2wd coolers abit like Karl does instead, and sell the 500 item on??
I appreciate he keeps his in the normal position though. But 2 x 2wd may fit under the cross member??????

Where do Karls fit then? Are they in the bumper?
1 4wd cooler per side of the engine would be ideal, as thats essentially 2 * 350bhp of cooling.
Ive got two 4wd coolers in a box to be a charge cooler for my nova, so Im already aware how good the cores are etc (doug made that too )

PS
SBD16v is telling me to just not charge it at all, and make it 400bhp on throttle bodies.
The sound of these engines on TB's might be too much for me though, no good if everytime I put my foot down I ejaculate.

are you talking about dumped car,a couple of years ago?
that cooler was the full width of the car, looked unreal, but when bumper was on you couldnt see it
chip i have euans cooler now thats a 60mm pro alloy with a 50mm gen 500 cooler welded together, and the crossmember just needed a bit trimming, where as euans saph needed it cut out and a skinnier 1 put in,so defo more room in the 3-door
