anyone used the vaccum jobbie for bleeding coolant systems?
I've used a gun type thing before, You hold it at the rad cap and press it, it blows the water through the whole system and then the gun makes a noise its done. Quite smart

ooops forgot that bit,its a fiesta 1.25lx 1996...would like to know still even though i have bled the system after replacing the heater valve and just took the expansion tank cap off with the heater on full blast and run the engine for 15 minutes keeping an eye on the temp gauge.
I dont think these engines have bleed valves. Just do as you did, with heater on hot let it run with cap off until all bubbles are gone! Maybe worth giving the pipes a firm squeeze to make sure they have no air trapped in them
