wouldnt do the foil tho would it, imagine tho if you could have a printer like that and go back in time, you would then be seriously rich, either that or doing 25 years

the fake 20's i saw looked like the silver foil had been done after being printed by a colour printer, how the fake watermark was done beats me.
i have seen a programme in america where they reckon the fake dollars are as good as the real ones and you can't tell. iirc the fake moola came from korea

loads of people buy fake stuff,so why not cash money. i expect loads of it to start now things are hard financially, anybody selling somthing they are desperate to shift needs to be very carefull they don't recieve funny money

mate had a few tenners once (he bought them for a fiver each lol), he came to the pub with us (our local) and we told him not to pass them in this place what ever did.

anyhoo, we gets a late one, any cash given goes into a pint glass behind the bar.

Next day I get a call from the landlord, (nasty bloke), he says, "whoever it was better be here within the hour to exchange them for a real 20"

The lad was promptly told to take his dumb ass up to the pub abd sort it.

Best bit was the landlord told me he didn't get to upset by it as it was him that was pumping out the fake tenners onto the market, so would have been one of his lol!!

Is that even legal??? Doormen have no powers of arrest above citizen powers of arrest and for someone who is NOT on thier premises they are on dodgy ground dragging someone further into the club to detain them. AKA kidnapping!! Sure not likely to get charged but its still dodgy!!

Bit of a shitter mate im a taxi driver and a lot of notes pass through my hands every week i take care with 10's and 20's to make sure there real but fivers i honestly couldnt care there the tatiests note ever ripped ect. If any one was to really think about it fivers are the ideal notes nobody bothers to check them as its only a fiver. There no fooling the uv lights although you can bypass the pens if u put some car wax on the paper then wipe it off still feels quite normal not that ive tried it.

"apparently if a shop assistant takes a dodgy note because they havent checked it then they have to pay it out of own pocket"

The shops cannot legally make you cough up AFAIK. If a fake note is taken then the shops head office can claim the money back from the bank. Most shop assistants are like me and you and hardly any of them are trained in spotting fake notes. If they do clock on they would rather put it in the till than pull you up on it, especially if they are by themselves!

A few years back I worked in a shop who took a fake Ł50 scottish note. After that I refused any Scottish note due to not having the means of testing if they were real or fake (No UV testing, water marks or whatever last time I knew). The government know about all these fake notes and what have they done about it? Nothing!!

best place to get rid of dodgey notes is in bars and clubs on busy nights, they dont have the time to check everything and just lob it straight into the till.

...............so i'm told

Racism

Scottish notes are the same as English notes. Have watermarks, UV writing and silver foil

S1 TURBO, your the second person to call me racist for that. I told them to fuck off too I don't see Scotish notes enough to be confident in checking them and have never looked at one long enough to find all the genuine ways of spotting a fake. I just use real money

Thats a fake, look at the numbers on it

I gave the job up years ago and rarely see Scottish notes. We've got enough UK 20's to keep us busy
