Some US Marine is in shit because he shot an allegedly wounded Iraqi insurgent rather than take the chance that the guy wasn't hiding a weapon, grenade or bomb. Some US TV crew filmed it, saw fit to release the tape and now the Arab world are up in arms about how barbaric it is!!!
If the first guy who shot him had been just a bit better on the aiming, the rebel would still be dead but that would be OK. If he wasn't really wounded, the soldier did what he had to do to protect himself and his comrades.
The idea of rules in war is a joke - especially when only one side has to keep to them.

Hmmmmm hate the whole beheading thing, but on the point of american soldiers, from what i've heard from our squaddies, they are far too trigger happy.
They are not trained as well as our boys in this type of close quarters urban fighting. In some twisted way the streets of Belfast were very good training for them, granted the IRA etc were and are a lot more cunning than the arab soldiers and it was never going on like the scale of things in iraq, but it taught them how to go about things in that environment.
This government is super fucked up - immigration, iraq, driving issues.... you name it, they've dabbled in it, they've fucked it up.

Yes you are right. She was an aid worked that lived out there for 30 years helping the poor and impoverished of iraq. She was married to an Iraqi husband and they do this! talk about biting the hand that feeds you and she was techically one of their own.
At least they had the decency to shoot her in the head rather than saw her head off like the last two.
And I can't even see how it is supposed to help their cause. How is it? Surely if you start kidnaping people you know they arn't important enough to have any sort of demands met and start killing them its just going to tell the world they are ruthless, evil butchers. And because they are doing this, they invite only more troops over to help protect the rest of them.
When my great grandfather was in the middle east during WWI serving with the desert rats they used to tell the troops; "If you run over an arab, reverse over him and make sure he is dead cus the only good arab is a dead one." Makes ya think dont it?
