esocrt rst boot rubber/seal

anyone got a photo of which way around this should go? as my boot is leaking, i've bought a new seal and still leaking but im wondering if i'd fitted the seal the wrong way around perhaps after i had the car resprayed last year? cheers

the join should be at the bottom in the centre

sorry i mean what way the the flap kinda thing faces on the rubber? i.e towards the boot or away?
