never got him insured.....it was a "Oh, we must get Gizmo insured".....but just forgot....

The vets rang this morning and said that he is ready to come home....

He is getting about ok, just falling over a little.....

He will be home this afternoon....it will get some pics up of the little fella

good luck for gizmo fella. at least he is home were he is loved

i bought are lass a chwowa had it 2 days and fell ill . she was in the vets a week before i had to make the desicion to have her put down i have never cried lik it in my life, and ill ALWAYS remember her face!

it's amazing just how attached you can get to your pets in such a short time

OK peeps...........

He has settled down fine at home, just laying around and recovering........ he seems very happy

He is walking/ hobbling about....and is a little unsteady at the minute but he will be fine

thats a quick turn around from losing a leg yesterday to up and about today.
any idea on the final bill from the vets? after having my 8 cats for 18 years i know that wont be cheap

sorry to hear this our cat has got cardio heart failiure and he is a fighter
we just have to give him tablets every day its amazing what we do for these pets but would nt be without means the world to us
hope he pulls through mate and adjusts well

Vetinary costs are steep, my cat had a urine infection and it ended up costing nearly Ł400, insurance is a good idea.

i feel sorry for your kids more than anything tif thay feel pain more than us grown up's but at least it will be o.k

if may dog had 3 legs i wouldnt have to chase the twat everytime he gets out ive had enough of him now, i may ring the dog warden one day and tel him i found him so thay can get rid of him

simular thing happend to ours nearly two years ago now, only thing was the leg he had to have removed was his "good" leg as when he was younger he was run over and broke hes leg, so was left struggling with one bad back leg, lasted about a year and it got worse, turned out that a pin left in his leg had moved and was digging into his hip so we put him to sleep (he was nearly 20 mind!)

but when he had his leg removed it looked exactly like that, looks really nasty but when all the fur grows back you cant see any of it, although u'll see from time to time the cat will try to scratch himself with the missing leg, all u see is the it twitching where the leg used to be lol
