Default painting bare plastic.....

Ok i need to paint my headlight cowl on the bike white. Its bare blue plastic at the moment. Ive painted stuff before with rattle cans with decent results, but never done bare plastic.

Is the procedure the same and what stuff will i need? Cheers.

Exactly the same, just use plastic primer instead. However, as its right at the front of the bike it is going to get a beating. Aerosol paint easily chips and scratches, far more than any proper paint will. I would consider having a proper paint job done! Or maybe even get it wrapped?

Cheers. Rich170, funny you should mention wrapping it as i was thinking about this earlier. I might get a sheet of vinyl and try and do it myself.

Im just thinking that wrapping it may be too difficult due to the shape of the cowl. Ill give it a go before painting it and see how i get on. Cheers.
