Default Painting engines gearbox's etc

im wanting to givemy engine a freshen up whilst having a rebuild. Ive used hammerite with a brush before but get brush marks any one else goy any ideas?? im wanting to do my gearbox in silver etc etc?

if u taking box out just spray it with hammerite, thats wot i did...as or engine i very high temperature paint first then smooth finish hammerite on top...its never came off on any my cars/engines and i never got any brush marks

i thought hammerite spray would be good for the box. So just give it a few coats of hammerite the block etc?

yeah couple of coats will do fine...like i say its never flaked off for me so i will continue doing it that way until it does....
