Engine dynos...???
The engine for the fester will bill goin on the dyno at Grove.
Could someone explain all the pro's and cons and how it works etc.... as I've got no experience of it and cant find any info.
They dont want my i/c or gearbox etc.... so was just wonderin how the engine can be set-up for use in my car?? Can the machine be altered to different gear ratios and coolers etc... just dont want any probs when I get the mapped lump back.
Cheers Jim.

You'd be as well to have the lump tweaked once back in the car too, to check/adjust for any differences.
A dyno basically allows load to be placed on the motor under precisely monitored and controlled conditions, and has it's own chargecooler. The main differences (usually) to take into account are IC, exhaust and your wiring loom (if it has any issues for example).

Cheers mate. Had a rough idea of how it all works but just got thinkin today about my intercooler not being needed.
Dont spose anyone got any pic of engines on the dyno??

I never like a dyno, prefer a rolling road as you are using everything on your car with the motor, cooler, fuel pump, wiring loom, map sensor etc etc, where as a dyno is just setting up your motor and nothing else. Defo get it tweaked once in the car
