Default Clutch change - Mk6 escort

A mate of my mums has asked me if i can do the clutch on his 1.6 mk6 escort estate,
I've got no problems doing the job (providing there arent any awkward bits to watch out for?)
But i don't know what to charge him for labour? what would a garage charge for a new clutch and cable and what would be a fair amount for me to charge?

When it comes to pricing up Homers/PJs. Friend of mine phones up a dealer asks for a labour quote works out how many hours then charges HIS customer the same amount of time at half whatever the rate was.

Just had mine done by a mate literly just got in after picking the car up £125 all in.

Watch out for the front subframe you may have to take it off which will add time to the job.

Only reason i didint do it myself is i been going to work at 2am so didnt feel like it lol

£125? was that a garage or foreigner? Dependant on price of parts, i doubt that would even be worth it from my perspective

Lovely job to do these and would do them all day every day no bother !

Shouldn't take more than 3 hours and only hard part of the job is lining up the rear gearbox mounting after you have the box back in the car.

No need to worry about subframe etc as mentioned above as plenty room to drop the box out with the subframe in place.

Done loads of these as homers in my garage lying on the floor and usually charge about £75 if they supply the clutch kit, the kits are less than £50.
