Antilag throttle kick
Can anyone recomend a good throttle kick to use on a cosworth for antilag. Im finding it difficult to find an electric solenoid with enough power to push the throttle.
Would a modified idle control valve be a better option?

modified idle valve would be a better option!
remember if you "kick" the throttle, the TPS isnt at closed anymore, so the ALS would turn off, there is ways around it, but using a ISCV is much easyer!

throttle kicker is totally un necessery on cosworths,we are lucky, you just need a modified iscv but word to the wise, only use a genuine mountune red dot one, unless your happy to risk your engine to get destroyed!!!

usually 4 valves, the 4 valves the bolt goes through!! and i once had it do 8 valves as it spat the bolt back into the inlet,i didnt split the inlet, fitted a new head, started the car up,and it drew the bolt into the combustion chamber, wrecked the head, piston and spat the bolt back into the inlet ready to destroy the next head!!!the joys of crap workmanship.

top hat referance to a group A car is the spacer and slide tube that fits the damper to the top mount on a front suspension damper.
not sure why so many other parts on a cosworth is getting reffered to as a top hat nowadays.
the plunger type as per mountune group A were copied by a few in the early 90's,same as the mountune ones but from experience they were not always as well assembled and often stuck or the end bolt either broke off,or unscrewed itself over time, resulting in the bolt going through your engine, not good at all.well worth checking your valve bolt from time to time.

Here is the valve I've got. Came from a Mountune "clubman" engine, so I guess that must be a mountune one :
Sorry for the aweful pictures, these were made with my mobile phone.
And on the TB is a PF09/04 position sensor.
