well for those that read this before, we just sold ONE have a look how much it went for

get this, my parents have these 2 teddies, both worth over £500+ each
there original Harrods 1986 bears, but since they re-released the bears in 1996 with "1986" stamped on a foot in celebration of the 10th anniversery
the bears we have dont have the stamp on the foot, my dad emailed a bloke called Sebastian Wormell from the "Archivist Company Archive Harrods Limited" and he got an email back saying
Anyway before this my dad went on to some teddy bear forum, signed up to enquire and since then all we keep getting is emails saying, "my kids in foster care, will you sell this bear to me so my daughter can have it" or "My sons had a bad accident would you consider selling me the bear" or "I have 2 children and already have 1 of these bears, can i have yours so both my children are happy"
the forum he is on is full of collectors, wish they'd stop bugging us were not selling them as my dad quoted
but anyway £1000+ for 2 bears that only cost £14.95 new

Your bears are two of the original Harrods Christmas Bears produced for Christmas 1986. This bear was described in the Harrods Christmas Catalogue as the "Harrods Snow Bear" and its height is given as 40 cm. It was to be the first in the sequence of annual Harrods bears - but nobody knew that at the time. Consequently, the bear was not dated. A later copy of the 1986 bear, produced for the tenth anniversary of the bears, does have the date embroidered on its paw, but yours must be originals. In 1986 the bear retailed at £14.95.
