Nice... apart from the 3spokes

Bet its a minter, you'd get bugger all rust with it being in South Africa.

They are not 4 valve heads,
I'm 99% sure that the 4V part refers to the 4 barrel carb,
meaning that it is a hotter version of the 302.
The XR8 was a homogolation special and was not in a high state of tune from the factory and only existed to allow the car to race in the SA production saloon championship.

Well said, someone who knows what hes talking about

that engine can make good power if splashed with a bit of money, the cars have modded T5's, beefed up rear diff and big disc's with AP's all round. Not to shabby

Shows what you know

Homologation specials mate, 200bhp std but these engines have been tuned to 1500bhp+ with turbos, and still craaazy power without, even relativley mild mods get you 350bhp, and the prices of parts from the US is mental, 8 forged pistons for under 400quid etc...

Its the same 302ci V8 from mustangs, and its piece of piss to fit to a sierra, real steel sell a fitting kit.
