Parked the rs500 up in the garage couple of days ago after using it basically everyday day for the last month.. went to start it this morning and the thing wont start, the engine managment light is on.. it turns over fine but wont fire
any help would be appreciated
Fuel pump making right noises?? If not theres your problem - check the wiring and the fuse behind the dash. Also does the relay in there sound clicky?
Next step would be to wiggle the crank sensor and recheck
Good luck - assume the plugs have been checked? Wet with fuel rules out my first point

Next guess would be to check inside the dizzy cap to see if the wires are freyed in there. They can short out as the cover plastic wears off during movement.
Do you have a spark? Have you clipped and unclipped the ECU as someone on here simply did that to sort the problem a while back?

sounds like you have no spark. see if you have live (+ve) to both sides of the coil with the ignition on.
if you have, see if there is a spark at the coil.
