as above i was watching adulthood in bluray then it stoped and said cant paly disc then i wont even play games or anythink...dosnt even spin up the disc has anyone else had this prob and what did sony do about itim gutted..btw its a 60gb

 

Sorry to hear that mate, how long have you had it? Take it back to the shop?

If it makes you feel any better, my Xbox 360 Elite (the 120gb HD one) fried itself last week

 

not cool is it..its only about 11month young and iv never had a prob with it dooooooh..the xbox brake all the time dont they...?

 

Yes basically the 360's are toasters that take ages to warm up.

 

Call Sony and they will replace it.

Happened to my 40gb after 4 months.

Replaced in 4 days.

 

As soon as I get a new 360 elite of Microsoft I am selling and buying a PS3

 

Not sure if this works on the 60gb... but for all your 40gb owners... 60gb might as well try if you switch off the console with the switch on the back. hold down the eject button, then switch on the switch on the back whilst keeping hold of the eject button... after a couple of seconds the console will enter self maintenance mode and all the fans will whizz up to clear the inside of dust.

 

ill try it ........when i got a dody psp they collect my one and replaced it so i think they should do it with my ps3 aswell..plus iv alwasys had sony shizzle
