Essex boys discuss(update pg5)
I know there are a few locals on this board.
i watched the film last night as im going on holiday next friday & bought the book for reading at the pool so i dont get boared when the missus is lying there getting a sun tan.( gran canaria) always warm..
After the film i went on youtube & watched the reconstruction from crimewatch & the news at the time.
It was nothing like the film i take it the film is someones veiw or how much truith is in the film? like when you see the real crime forensic pics there is 2 shot in the front & one in the back with the drivers seat headrest blown off.but the film shows billy whizz was driving? but the forensic pics (which are horrible) google them & see someone ws defo shot in the drivers seat.
Whats your veiws on this film & the real life shootings?

there are many books on this.the rise of the foot solider is the closest film to the "supposed" truth.and as always no-one really knows the truth except the killers.
one of my freinds is mates with carlton leach and is around the icf alot but i never ask questions as its just not what i consider the done thing.epsecially this far down the line.
how true they are i dont honestly know but i have the bernard o'mahoney(he was one of the firm that was involved, tony tucker's mate) books and they are a good easy read.some of the rise of the foot solider is in these books.
it was actually my uncles' friends land they were found on too.
nasty old business to be in and they were all over essex and frequently all over the country, but werent shy of letting it be known who they were or what they did.which possibly went against them in the end.
edit,here's bernie's site too

carlo, the book essex boys is NOT based on the film.the film was no where near even close to the events that "happened"
you will enjoy it.
his other books are
bonded by blood(cracking read)
and then wanne be in my gang(i have it but havent had a chance to read it yet.only had it 3 years)
he posts on his site quite often and seems an ok bloke tbh.

If you do a hpi on the range rover it has had a fair few owners since the murders too, ive read a lot of info on Bernards site, he has a very open view on everything, theres police reports, audio recordings of the phonecalls made between the ifc, recordings of the phonecall made to the police reporting the murders etc, its very interesting, Essex boys is a good film i think, Rise of the footsoldier is better, but imo only because its a newer more modern film.
