Default Apexi AVC-R Questions

What does it do?
How well do they work?
Are they worth the money?
Is it worth me getting one for my A4?

Don't mean to sound like an arse but it's been mentioned on a US Audi forumn which has just got me thinking. £300 is a lot of money if I can't make use of it.

BTT need info people.

Spec of the A4 at present is nothing flash at all but I've got a few plans for the next year or so including a bigger intercooler, different turbo, bigger injectors etc.

I use one, but then I actually use some of its features like gear specific boost control.

Also does some logging and playback which is handy on mine when checking the boost as its difficult to watch the screen and not crash.

Its a good unit, but tricky to setup and use as its does SOO much. Manual is about 60 pages I think.

We had one in the Escos, it was really easy to use and looks the part to, as said it gives you different settings like A B & C i think, and you can set your boost to each setting so for example setting A could be standard B could be 20psi and C could be 30 psi..

and you can log your boost in graphs also :0)

got one in my 200!

how do you controll boost without one? genuine question here.... if you wanted to get your turbo to peak at a certain pressure how would you do it without one?

ps, mine is set to 1.2bar on setting A but it only peaks at 0.9 and holds 0.8

They are as good as the person that sets them up. No problems here works 100% every one I have fitted. Great for FWD
