have you tried laying back and tilting your head backwards a little?

it should leave your mouth open just a little bit so that the jaw muscles are stretched just a little bit to stop them from cramping up

Sarah, did they give you any proper painkillers? I mean prescription drugs not normal stuff?

You should be better in a couple of days.

Damn, they should have given you something stronger. Can't help you here, I can see there are huge differences in practise The thing I take (the active chemical is called "ketoprofenum" but I don't know the market name in the UK) makes me sick also, but I prefer stomach ache Keep a lot of ice on these: good precudure I was told was 20 minutes with ice, 20 minutes without and repeat...

Breast reduction?

Instead of using ice packs I just went to special show with medical stuff and bough special packs with gel inside that keeps cold for longer. It may be an idea for you.

Youneed right drug for the job, just taking lots of weakpills may make you sick, or even kill you, which in some way will do the job, but probably not in a way that Sarah prefers

My suggestion - try to eat something with the painkillers, McDonalds milkshake may be a good idea, or something similar what you like. Basically you need something to sooth the digestive track, 'cause the painkillers are not good for it. Did you get antibiotics to stop the possibility of infection?

Last time when it hurt really badly I found it was easier to keep it on almost mouth level then it is less "sucking effort" LOL

Continuous bodily pain does not last long; instead, pain, if extreme, is present a very short time, and even that degree of pain which slightly exceeds bodily pleasure does not last for many days at once. Diseases of long duration allow an excess of bodily pleasure over pain.

Either it was much worse case to remove them or the doctors didn't do the bestof jobs (although I wouldn't like to say that). You did that with NHS? Would it be very costly to do that privite in the UK?

yeah it was NHS. read my letter they gave me and it says theyve removed a part of my jaw bone to get the tooth out, no wonder my mouth hurting still

The left hand side isnt really swollen, look like ive been hit with a cricket bat on right hand side however

Gonna ring doctors today as still in a lot of pain and not easing up at all.

Why did i get them out

Sarah - would it be very expensive to go private in the UK? (I wouldn't even dare go close public doctor over here these days unless I really have too)

I was saying from the beggining it's weird they didn't give you some prescription painkillers.

I paid around 60 quid for the surgery on one side. All the care after surgery, additional visits etc. are in the price.

bit of an update, went to hospital at 3am this morning as was in total agony and they told me i have " dry socket " so removed stitches, cleaned the wound and packed it with some vile tasting stuff that has a sedative in it to stop the bone from hurting. Got some mega painkillers so sat here dizzy as a bat and feeling very sick. Had a slight temp too so also got antibiotics to kill any infection that might be starting.

Fingers crossed ill start mending now!

Hope you start feeling better soon sarah!

I had mind out at 3.30pm yesterday, was back home by 7pm. Touch wood it aint been too bad so far. The bleedings just about stopped, swelling aint too obvious and ive managed soup and sloppy weetabix to eat.

Im on co-codamol, ibuprofen and some anti-biotics, as well as some fookin strong antiseptic mouthwash, which tastes like brake cleaner!!

Just been mega paranoid about keeping my mouth clean, been using some saltwater mouthwash every couple of hours as well.

The Guy who was on the ward the same time as me, went down 40 minutes before me and was happily chobbling on a cheese sandwich within about an hour and a half! Lucky bastard!

Ive got mouthwash that tastes like brake cleaner too AT least your managing to eat, but if you get any pain towards your ears or a really rank taste in your mouth, you could have dry socket Which is what ive got

Ive not got any bruising mind which im quite happy about, but ive got half a fat face and half a normal one.

Did you go to sleep? Think mine felt so much worse after being sick from the anaesthetic, prob didnt help with keeping the clot in place.

Will see how i get on now with these painkillers, just praying im better by Monday so we can go out for wedding anniversary

Yeah, had a general anasthetic, luckily wasnt sick after it.

ive got half a chubby face and half normal, although you have to look for it TBH.

Sounds like your having a right rough ride of it Sarah, Are you getting much sleep at night?
