It's just mega important to keep the wounds clean, hard but makes all the difference.
I can't see if your nerve is close to the site or not? Did he talk about it?

Hes told me that because the nerve will be bruised once the tooth is removed, i may have "temporary paralysis on the cheek and tounge for a couple of weeks!"
Marvelous. so i'll be dribbling like the elephant man so it seems!
Wisdom teeth are a right nightmare tbh. Never really had trouble with my teeth either and im 34 now!

He did and said it runs along the side of it and it could be bruised when taking the tooth out, but its a very minor risk and that it would result in the tongue and bottom lip being numb temporarily.
Matt - i think its quite common tbh, but if it stops infection as long as its not permanent then ill suffer
Im not scared about getting it done as at least ill be asleep

I had my upper and lower wisdom teeth removed from the r/h side last month under a general and was absouloutly shittin it before, but i can safely say the OP went fine and now ive healed up nicely, my piece of advice is to keep your wounds clean i swilled with salt water all the time, not nice but does help. and my second piece of advice is to try and eat !! i felt terrible like i was dying for the first couple of days and worked outwhy, it was the antibiotics & painkillers. They advise to take with a meal, which is what i did, but i started to feel unwell (not pain) just unwell after about two hours of taking the tablets, i worked out if i eat again the unwellness would go away. Im not saying this will effect everyone in the same way but it took me days to work out why i felt so unwell,
On a side note i was eating proper food again after about 5-6 days and was healing up nicely but them friggin disolvable stich's took weeks to dissapear, i was forever twiddling them with me tongue tryin to get them out, in the end i asked my mate with a steady hand and a pair of scissors to give them a snip and they just fell out lol...
Regards,
Adi

(sorry for my inadequate wording of this, I feel my english concerning dental surgery is a bit lacking )
There is some stuff that is insde the wound pushed through small opning between the stiches, they pull it out gently and put another one, also they push some antiseptic medicine inside that dissolves over time and tastes and smells like farmacy but prevents infecion. The dressing change (at least as it was with my other side) was more painfull then the op itself as this is almost painless, but it wasn't too bad either.
At the moment I am on strong painkillers so I am a bit numb, the jaw hurt but not too badly if I don't try to move it. This time there is no damage to nerves so I feel my tongue (last time I had some problems with the tongue for several days).

IT would be better if you put some ice on it if it's swelling badly. Just do it, It helps - I know my wisdom teeth removals (<- real tears).
I've jyst come back home from the doctors. She pulled some stuff out, put some new stuff in and told me to show up on wednesday. It hurt lke hell after putting stuff in but I had my small blue pill and it's getting better I feel MUCH better then last time anyway.
Ihope you won't be as bad, but prepare to yoghurt and water diet Hot things may be not the best for a while, cold is good, maybe ice cream with a small spoon?

cant sleep as in pain so decided might as well get up, just took more painkillers and now watching celeb scissorhands. Right hand side of face is pretty swollen gonna get an ice pack on it as its really hurting. Naively didnt think it would hurt this much tbh, defo on par with the last op i had
Had some ice cream last night which felt relieving tbh, will get some more into me today i think.
