mot reg old engine in newer car

whats the rules govening engine changes state about placeing a pre cat 91 engine in a 97 car ?

YOU must show written proof of the age of the engine in question.

Not always as easy as it seems. If you can, the relevant emissions applies.

You dont think they'd make this easy, do you ?

I guess you could get the engine number, and get a written statement from the main dealer to state what year its from....or if you had the old tax book perhaps.
