Personally I would see what temps you see in normal use. If these don't exceed 90°C with normal driving or 100°C "on a mission", then the standard rad is okay .

I see on the standard temp gauge it gets into the 'R' of NORM.. dont know what temp it is but was just thinking about it as i have shipment of goodies heading my way soon anyway.

I still have to pay for those wheel lock nuts

Once the gauges are fitted, you will be able to see exactly what temps you have. No point in doing anything until then .

Remember your coolant system is under pressure and so the boiling point will be higher than at normal atmos pressure

With the antifreeze at the correct mix and even with the standard Ford pressure cap, the boiling point is well in excess of 100°C .

I think it is a bit higher than that, as isn't the standard cap rated at 13psi?

Temps can go over 100C in the summer even with water, as said under pressure.
The gauges are notoriously innacurate, when mine is at the top edge of the "N" it is 90C, so fan cuts in till 87C, normally runs bang in middle of "O".

You HAVE to run a glycol mix in a Cossie, if not, then plain water corrodes everything BIG time!

It will to begin with, as its pressurised, but it wont be pressurised for very long on just water, as it will all rot away

Gday Aaron. I had very little choice but to replace mine. The original unit was clagged! Worked out well really. I bought my intercooler at the same time to save some freight money.
At very worst, It will look great with a brand new motor in your bay!
