A new car, and a mint one too, and it's taken 1300 miles and 4 weeks before it got a wash?

Looks good now though

PMSL detailed??? Thats a wash FFS!

Detailing is where the whole car is flat and polished to remove the factory orange peal etc.

I didn't know with a wash you did half those things? Funny, over on the Detailing World forum, 98% of the threads do no involve Flat Poloshing.

Hhaha who said why post so many pics thats nothing compared to some read ups people do on detailing sites, and also not as "in-depth".

Good work though

Very nice.
Arent these built on the same chassis as the focus?
Ugly fuckers but this one looks lovely at the same time.

Makes me really jealous when I see cars that can be effectively detailed.
When its 20 years old, covered in rust and stone chips there's nothing even the most determined sponge wielders can do..

as per everyone else, that is not detailing, thats just a proper wash and polish. my cars normally get about 1 per year like that and a normal wash weekly.

still looks nice now its done.

as per si tho, 4 weeks/1300miles without a wash on a brand new car!!!

according to the post above you washed it, clayed it, polished it, washed it again then waxed it.

thats a valet not a detail. if youve done a detail, then benny hasn't said so has he

Believe me, it took many hours and much effort and as a result the paint is 95% perfect. Something a valet or 'just a wash' wouldn't have achieved

Perhaps next time I should take many photos of the paint defects and PTG readings, only to be called a sad bastard. Just can't win...

Don't worry about it Gaz, half the fukwits on here wouldn't know how to detail a car anyway. It's far easier to knock someone else's efforts.

Top job mate, I know how much work goes into it.

Must be very soft paint if finishing polish took out the defects there would have been, like nearly all new cars have, even higher marque.

Has been detailed IMO, much more than a wash and chamois, less than a full on paint correction of course, if that's what people are referring to as detailed, which isn't the full story.

He started before 9 and when I spoke to him at 6 he was still doing it. That did not include the interior which was done the morning after. This is detailing. End of.

Actually Gary, this can't be a detail. The car is still full of rust.

It looks very clean. But then it's 4 fucking weeks old, and has done 1300 miles. If you could make my 35k Avensis that I've washed once look slightly clean I'd be impressed

His own car has done more miles than that and I would say it looks just as good as my 4 week old car.
