how good is it? and how much is it? i have wireless broadband already.
what do i need and how does it work? do you have to sit there with a headset on or can you play with out?

keep getting told im missing out.but im a nightmare with games and hate to lose so always try and go again

Online gaming is superb.....brings a WHOLE new experience to it.....

If i was you i would hardwire it into the modem......Just that i have been playing with people who are on a wireless connection and sometimes it drops for them...
All you need to do is connect it to your modem....pay the money and away you go.
You can play with or without the head set

Definitely get online, really good and its good value at less than £4 a month. If your wireless, I think it disables the vibrate function. Remember seeing it written on the back of the wireless pack for the XBOX console.

my modem is right acroos the room in the dining room.i'd have to pull carpet up to run the wire.not keen on that.
may have to look into it though

you can get the yearly subscripttion from a user on ebay make sure its the uk 1 and its £20 for the year!

tbh if your not on live you are only getting half out of every game. I very rarely just play a game it's usually all online.

Gow2 will be 4 person co-op. So instead of your team on the game been controlled by the xbox it's another 3 of your mate's playing

And get the headset. You look like a mong but what it bring's to the game is massive

Would def advise to get online mate, makes the games so much better IMHO.

I had my Xbox when they were first released few years ago and was best part of 12 months before i went online and its fucking superb !!!

COD4 is MEGA addictive online and that disc is never out of my console !!!!

I had some connection issues when using a wireless network adaptor so changed to hard wiring the connection to my modem and have never had any problems since so maybe this is the best way to do it.

do it mate. Its the nuts. Go wired though, as wireless can be a pain, and it drops out quite often.

oh btw i have the xbox wireless adapter and it has never lost signal and i get all the functions like vibrate etc (never heared anyone else say you could not get it) Plus you dont have any nasty wires .

but 100% its a must for xbox imo.

aint read it all but you aint gotta pay the £40 a yr u can get it cheaper on ebay , i got 13 months for £22,

i got a wireless adapter for my xbox £60 iirc but saves all them fukin wires and ive never had a prob with it ,

and its the bollox online , u can have a right laugh esp when you get some jumped up yank , well worth it if u got one imo

tbh i dont buy many games as i get stuck to one normally.i have the nfs,pgr3,the new star wars one, and assasins creed,and forza 2,but m thinking of pgr4 and possibly one like cod4.

I have a 360 and usually always play it online when on my own. Just think how much better is it playing multiplayer with familly and friends than single player? Well that's what XBOX live does to your games, makes them last ages rather than you getting bored. I play COD4 and FIFA 09 most but also have PGR4, Forza 2 and pro evo. Some of my games are that good online that I have that GTA4 and barely played it yet.

Mine is upstairs in the computer room where the router is so just wired into it and I have it wired as well if it's in the lounge. Theres some good people on there who you can have good games with and also some idiots who are fun to wind up.

Just bear in mind though if you play Call of Duty online you aren't allowed to use grenade launcher, jugernaut, stopping power, martyrdom, last stand or camp. People will get upset.

Xbox live is so addictive its unreal. Hardly ever play offline now except for Forza 2 to build my cars up. Loving Halo 3 at the mo. COD 4 will be my next purchase.

For cheap xbox live membership i bought from here. Mailed the code within 24hrs
