Default 73 mpg

filled up the poous in congleton ,had to go to the trafford centre in manchester, traffic was typical heavy sat afternoon shoppers.average mpg was 73mpg on arrival
wind must have been behind me and all down hill on the way there, average mpg when i got back had dropped to 58 mpg but the run back was easier and less congested.
Goes to show that the standard figures quoted are achievable in congestion.
The cheaper option would have been to stay at home i would have used no petrol at all lol

Modern cars are quite amazing if you ask me....imagine a gallon of fuel ie a jerry can's worth, then image trying to make that go over 70miles!

If it was on the cars trip meter I read a artical showing this to be over 10% overreading so you where only doing about 10mpg.

I had a Toytoa Yaris as a courtesy car.... that was giving me 69.9mpg on a run...couldnt believe it... Got a 1.0 corsa as a runabout and it took 80 miles before the petrol needle started to move.
