Got to be a Maine-Coon, i have had mine 7 years brill with kids very affectionate, gentle and dont get their kicks from clawing the sofa. They do tend to grow quite large.

apparently you can get "house" cats that don't like going otuside

and white ones tend to be more hard of hearing than any other colour

Ginge, my mother has a british short haired blue what is greyey/blue. Sounds ideal for you living in the city as they tend to just sit in all day.

I love our bengal, he's just so different to your average cat.. looks like a wild beast when he's roaming around outside too.

Ginge, Tiger. Only option really. Although I do reccomend buying some small corks to put on it's claws so you don't get scratched

we had a few siamese when i was young. i remember them as being the hissiest bad attitude stuck up cats ive ever known. you couldnt even clap them without them hissing.
long haired persians were good pets.
my missus went to the pet shop 18 years ago to get a kitten. she couldnt pick one so bought them all. 18 years later theres only 1 left of the 8 she bought.

Siamese are known as being very intelligent cats, I've had a couple and they arent that friendly really. They do actualy come across as stuck up as Fuzzy says.

I have a Lilac point siamese and two chocolate tick tabbie orientals

The orientals are nutters, extremely friendly and very playful even in old age
The Siamese tends to have favorites he hates my sister and hisses and growls at her yet to us and my kids he is the most placid cat going, my two year old lies on him and rides him like a horse and he doesn't even flinch so I can see why some people don't like them

Ginge - Just literally woke up one day very ill and died Very sad as you know my family LOVED that cat. Really rare to die of illness as its a proper pedigree breed from decent breeder.

Real shame

White ones with blue eyes. And it's about 20% of them are prone to it without. With Blue eyes it's more like 80%.
