I quite fancy the idea too, but we just had a real ale beer festival here and it was quite hard to drink.

no, strangley???

but my mates go every year, and from what they say you need to book your hotel up soonish as in now for next year to be anywhere near the main bits, also the need to book a table at one of the drinking houses

JUst don't go to one of the more popular ones as they get real busy, loads of places have this octoberfest, a lot have free beer from the water fountains as well just for this day, well Lubbecke does or did anyway.

I can highly recommend the oktoberfest in Münich in september/october.. I have been there twice now, and ran in to ALOT of people from the UK!

It is a very busy place.. it is a VERY big festival.. but I asure it is working out well. The Oktoberfest i Mďnich have 175 years of experience handling several million guest in just about 2 weeks.... i am very impressed.

Yes.. I am going there next year too prost
