I'm gonna be on telly!!

Ramsay is a sheer legend! I'd love to eat in one of his restaurants, but sadly can't afford it. I watch all his shows on telly, and have read his auto-biography.
I actually think he'd be a mint boss, simply because you'd know exactly where you stood with him, and he won't ask anyone to do what he can't/won't.

oh bless ya heart nicole!!
it would be wrth the heartburn/swollen lips/rashes/vomiting just to eat the food it is delicious!
thank you for all your well wishes guys.
Basically, to start off with you had to send an email answering a few basic questions as to why you think you would be good on the cookalong, then, if you were selected from there you had a 30 minute telephone interview, then if you got through from there you had a 20 minute webcam interview, after that i waited four weeks and got the call to say they wanted me on the show!!!

Nicole, all you do is tell them your allergies or dislikes and they will tailor the menu around you. If you have the 'tasting menu' the Maitree dee will ask you loads of questions about what you like and can and cannot eat and then the kitchen makes you something amazing up around that and you are made to feel like an absolute princess I promise you. It would be a pleasure to take you and stu there as a treat to say thanks to Stu for all his help over the years and a wedding and combined baby present to you both... and lets face it, after the labour you went through.... you DESERVE to be treated like a princess!

Congratulations Maria.
For anyone who thinks they can't afford to eat at one of Ramseys restaurants, they do a set lunch at Claridge's (you still have choices) for Ł30 a head! My girlfriend took me as a surprise last year for my birthday and the food was amazing, the whole experience was.
Matt.

Weekends as well in some of them
If anyone needs a hand booking up, let me know and I will try and help.
Gordon thinks that if you have 'one person in and show them a great lunch at a good price... they will tell ten people about it that will come back in for dinner' and then the restaurant starts to make proper money every night!
But what does he know... the 'overated knob cheese'

Gordon Ramsey?
He swears his mouth off at every given opportunity and treats his staff like shit when they aren't performing...
To me, he is probably one of best chefs in the world
Would LOVE to go to one of his restaurants, what kind of price are you talking for his food? Ł15 a starter, Ł30 a main, or am I WAY off?
He is VERY arogant, but not for good reason, he hasnt got where he is by umming and arring, thats for sure!
Maria, congrats - I'm sure you will enjoy the experience, its a once in a lifetime opportunity!
As for the beef being overcooked, whack the oven up to full and leave it for 10 mins
Shove the join in, season with sat/pepper/olive oil whatever, then reduce the heat to gas mark 5 and roast the joint for half an hour per kg for rare, add another ten minutes per kg for medium rare, 20 minutes per kg for medium, and 30 minutes per kilo for well done.
99% of the time its not about the cooking, but the quality in the piece of beef. It can be Ł20+ for a piece of 'decent' beef that you seemingly might be able to get in asda for a fiver! Not so!
Anyway, enjoy ur time with Ramsey, hope he doesnt give you too much "beef"

Everytime i eat out i always end up with something rubbish and they always get the order wrong and i often end up ill as i've eaten something that i shouldn't have as i didn't know it was in the dish! We have one or two really good places to eat here where they get it right every time but other than that, eating out isn't normally very much fun for me!! So i'll look forward to it!
And your damn straight i deserve it

Excellent news......keep us informed when its going to be aired.
Now about the beef joint......
1 pack of Rizzla's
Remove a skin from the Rizzla pack
Sprinkle a thum and forefinger amount of beef into the skin
Role the skin up
1 beef joint complete.....
I know, that was poor wasn't it

What do you class as over cooked? If there's any pink in the middle I class that as raw.
Brown on the outside, brown on the inside, ooh arr.

Nobody cares if you or anyone else "likes" him. We simply asked in which way he was "over rated" or indeed a "knob cheese." Is there something wrong with trying to have a discussion on a discussion forum lately?

congrats.
I dont think hes overrated but i dont like the way he treats his staff either, he seems to revel in their misery, if he did that to me i wouldnt cry or stand there shivering like they do, everyone has skeletons in the closet you cant say its ok for him to be abusive and swear every two seconds because the poor guy got abused. Whilst i feel for him theres no need to be a "knobcheese"
Im not loaded enough to taste his food yet but it looks mouthwateringly delicious sometimes!
