that cars about 5 miles from me but cant say ive ever seen it

also aslong as its had it first oil service and its had thwe recall work done then there bullet proof imo

A few people have said make sure it had its 1200 mile oil service, what is the significance of having this?

pre 2003 models were recalled for rod bearing failure! make sure you see the proof of work carried out, if the 1200 mile service was not done then all the warrenty on the car/engine was void, you have to keep to very strict service routines with these bad boys..

some other major points to look out for are, front subframes cracking, rear axle mountings tearing away from the car leaving the car a write off! very bad on some early ones... you only notice this when pulling off hard or when jacked up/on ramp..
if you want any more stuff to look out for just ask

be careful its a minefield..

I'd never trust ANY car from ebay unless I saw it first. Mind, wouldn't trust any car full stop if I didn't see it first. As my dad always says and always loves rubbing it in when I fuck up, if it's too good to be true, it most probably is

Personally id be way of cheap E46 M3's. There a car thats been used hard. Buying one on the cheap could be a disaster. Be careful dude.

Iirc the significance is that when new,the engine,gearbox and diff have running in oil in them and it is changed at this mileage...Some people did not bother with this free service and it probably leads to premature wear.I have an identical E34 M3 to the one above and if it has Bmw history and in good condition i would recommend it

As for the cash only thing well that doesnt really bother me as I do everything with cash when I buying or selling a car.


A mate of mine has been scammed recently with a Mini Cooper S on Pistonheads so Im wary of cheap cars too.

Definitely not racist, i was carjacked by 2 asians and got stung by stating they were asian. I'm not a racist by any means (work for an asian bank!!) but as above it seems a majority of the people doing this are asian.

With the M3 i'd steer clear, if it was a nice one it wouldve been snapped up. Or perhaps you could pay for an inspection prior to it ending? (not sure how long you've have).

Dont know if its racist or not im sure col didnt intend it that way but most of the scams on pistonheads as well are under aisan names.
On another not a asian guy sent my mate a fake bank draft for his car once with 4k over the asking price & said once you get the draft you will see its over just to secure the sale now send me the difference back & you will get the lot once its cleared.Lckily my mate wasnt so daft & went to the police.

The tailgate handle is the long one which was introduced on the 53' regs being a 2001 model it should have a narrower handle

i know of at least 3 gangs of them here who buy r32`s,audi tt`s etc etc from other asians in the likes of manchester and birmingham for £500-1000,and bring them up here,jump about like they are gangsters

i had a mazda 323 4x4 turbo for sale in the ad trader years ago,think i was 21 at the time,car was easy worth £1000 i put in paper for £800

asian phoned from huddersfield saying really want your car whats the total lowest youl take for it i said £650 not a penny less

he drives up with another 6 of them in a honda accord,trying to intimidate me when it came to the money saying il give you £300 for it,i was like fukn sure have a nice trip home in your sardine tin,eventually he parted with the dough and begged me for £20 for fuel,i mean come on there was 7 of them and no money to get home

i know a few of them and if im selling or buying a car and i hear that accent i dont deal with them sorry call me a racist if you want but none of them fukn like us

a mate had this on a escossy, sold it on ebay to a chap from birmingham.

When he came to collect he started picking faults before the car had even been unlocked. My mate (fairly big lad) just told him to fuck off, the chap then releised shit I am not going to get money of went to hand my mate the money, he told him to do one, and he wouldnt sell it to a cock like him. Made his drive all the way back to Birmingham empty handed.

To be honest, evey car i have viewed being sold by indians/asian have been dodgy.

Plus, every car i have sold, I have had indian/asians being a pest and trying it on.

Maybe not fair to tat them all, never is, but in reality, it is just being wise to be more wary. If there wasn't so many pulling these scams, there wouldn't be the stigma.

I have learnt that indians/asians in the main are clever with cash and don't sell something unless it is f*cked.
