Well NITROUS IS CHEATING and most insurance companys don't allow it's use when on the street SO IT DON'T COUNT .
Therefore the fastest street legal FWD run without power adders will probably be the purple corsa with it's 13.2 secs , mind you it's got fuck all in the way of bits left in/on it !
Don't know about the FWD turbos as they are usually all on slicks or cheating with gas

My point is this threads talking about a Front wheel drive STREET LEGAL car THAT's driven and then raced in the same condition . Therefore a nitrous equipt , severly stripped machine with the headlights missing isn't road legal despite having street rubber still fitted is it ?

if youve never been up the strip i recon a high 12 is a bit optomistic lol its not as easy as it seems lol

Fast Civics from a company called CPL Racing which are running in the low 10s at the moment, I would be interested to see if there times are on street legal boots.

Apart from the fact possibly there running drag slicks they are doing 10.2 quarters in full road legal spec.

What the fuck have MOST insurance companies got to do with anything, providing the insurer of the car in question cover it?

Most insurance companies wouldnt insure my sierra as its too modified in their opinion, that doesnt stop it being a street car though!

Nitrous is FULLY road legal, and ALL this thread is about (I know cause I started it) is road legal cars on road legal tyres, I dont give a fuck how they make their power, or how many seats they've got or wether or not they have satnav and aircon, road legal is all I care about.

So far its 11.5 from the purple corsa then that seems to be the fastest on street legal rubber?

Would someone please ban RS2.7 ffs !

Nitrous is perfectly legal, your just using the wrong insurer or the type of person that doesn't dare declare his mods

I'd be suprised if a civic or something jap hasn't matched those times on treads, what did the one from totb run ? Gordon @ Streetracers has built a rather quick one for a customer too iirc.

Not shy then !

I think its safe to say that Speckys and Dannys terminal speeds show those cars on slicks should be able to compete against the Rover IF they were setup to launch on slicks.

Interesting that Austin said that Andy launched in 2nd on the 10.2 run, I've been telling Specky to do that for a while but he wont have it
