i am wanting more power over the stage 1,what is the highest power the 205 block will take,i am thinking as its lowish milege to take it to the max of the head/cams/block/etc,around 400bhp feasable and would it be reliable at this with say one of those msd chips on level 6 ecu,would like to just up the turbo size to say t34 or t4 put bigger injectors in and put a grp a pump on,its on the standard original clutch and head gasket!Am i asking for trouble

The car was very quick, and proved to be reliable and imo a perfect spec for the road

Our 205 block is +1mm oversize pistons and is running 250bhp 250ft/lb torque and has been faultless, its a myth unless you want big power mate. If the head gasket goes, put a grp A one in, put an 044 fuel pump on and if the clutch slips put an alcon 6 paddle in...

any actual figures to say when you should upgrade to a 200 block?

its good for 450hp in my opinion, ive seen some run as much as 530hp, but that depends on which rollers you use

i would say 200 block for anything above 500hp

edited to say; the clutch will be struggling at that power, a t34.63 will make 400hp
