2004 Focus TDCi, any good ??
Hi, I am looking at a Focus 1.8 TDCi this afternoon. Looks tidy and has FSH but are there any mechanical things to look out for ??
It's got 79K miles on it
Do these engines have the dual mass flywheel ?
Are the fuel pumps fragile at all?
Do they cope with the higher mileages OK?
What sort of MPG can I expect, round town and on a M/way cruise ?
anything else ??
I think the Focus is generally quite a solid car but I have not owned a diesel one before so need to get some other opinions please..

I've just bought an ST3 handheld tuner (it has 3 maps you can put on your car) for my Fiesta Zetec S TDCi, the fast road map I have adds 28bhp and 58Nm to the car, standard is 88bhp and 210Nm.
My Fiesta is the 1.6 TDCi it's the Peugeot / Ford engine, have heard the larger Ford designed units to be better.
