stu - lee lives about anhour away from me, and not finishing work til late late today and then having to be back there tomorrow, it would of been daft me going all the way to his just to come back to mine just to go back to his tomorrow night.... does that make sense?

Behave, You'd be fine at a parent.
Me, when I'm down I listen to music, its my passion I love it. Or I draw art, depending my mood and whats on my mind.
I have a good girl mate that I speak to on a regular basis to, so if I'm down she cheers me up just by speaking, which is a good feeling. Infact I was with her last night and it was good to have the company

maria, read what ya said bout family ( or lack of) chin up, thing is, family is not just 'parents', its the people you love, and the people, like your friends who love you. you will be far closer to them than you will ever have been to a brother or sister (imo anyway.)
its friends who make your family. cheer up love! ( sorry if im being slushy lol...im gna go for a beer now lol ) x

aww Maria Chin up girl!
ive been feeling quite down now for awhile, sometimes it really gets to me, i just try to forget about it all by relaxing, coming on here can sometimes take my mind of things sometimes, just chilling in my own space listening to some music helps but i rarely tell people about stuff, guess it helps at times tho.

Maria, from what you've written about yourself I think you should be proud of what you have achieved, you have a good job, bought yourself an EsCos, and have probably achieved alot more than that too, I just dont know about it. When I'm down I'll go and sit with my mates. We dont even have to talk, they're just bloody good lads, and they always make me laugh.
I get down very easily, but I can take great inspiration from the situations I've been in. We lost alot of people from my family in a very short time, culminating when I watched my dad die when I was 11. My mum started a business working from home, she brought myself and my brother up to be independent, and the men we are today. That always fills me with emotion when I realise what she achieved. I'm SO proud of her.
I lost a very good female friend this summer too, which again gets me down. I
realised that moping around all the time is pointless, life goes on, and when I look back at the things that have happened to me, good or bad, I smile because I know they have shaped me into who I am today. I have integrity and the respect of my peers, I have loved, and will love again, I have an amazing (if small) family, I have my health, and I have the best mates a guy could ask for. I'm also going to be an uncle, so thats currently bouying my emotions!
I have a job now, and its not much, but its money, I'll have my independence back soon, i'll be able to do more things that I want to do, more of the time.
I'm on a humble course but I know its gonna end in a decent place. I also met a girl a while ago, and things are looking quite rosey there too.
Surround yourself with mates when your happy, mates when your sad. My friends and I always say: 'you go up together, you come down together'. Admittedly thats from when we used to bash drugs all the time, but it works just as well when you're clean

take the dog for a walk with the family and appreciate the free stuff like fresh air and my kids(well one,the others only 4 months) having a laugh chasing the dog about.
failing that watched the ross kemp thing on kenya last night with the kids living on a landfill buzzing glue all day,it makes you realise we have nothing to complain about.

Maria,
Cheer up. I know I dont know you that well but I have been fortunate enough to meet you and despite the fact I fancy the pants off you, I think you are a nice person too. !
Lee will cheer you up..if not there is a queue of perverts on here who will !
Now as for that dog picture, I suggest you take that off here as I am sure Phil is still around and he is probably getting off on it

When im down, i think of othes worse off than myself and think that whatever is bad for me at the moment is nothing compared to what some people have to deal with.
Either that or go for a drive to clear my mind.
