ive got 6 transit vans for sale, i sold 2 to some pikies last week.
when they left they were sniggering and i thought what the hell are they laughing at. not till the weekend when i went out to the vans i realised,
when i was in the office counting the money, his mate was out side.

the bastard nicked all the wheel trims of the other vans on the side not facing the house and the LX badges of of 2 of them.

I just cant believe they had the nerve to do it, some people are oure scum!

When I read this on the FCGB forum, I did take a drive around the Ramsden estate in Orpington. We found a friends car there many years ago. Didn't see the car or van. Did get a few strange looks.

Well we all know whats over in that direction..... Swanley!!.... Theres a MASSIVE travellers site over there plus i think theres one at the back of Orpington.

Not wanting to point the finger, but its a possibility. Failing that they just headed in the direction of the quickest route onto the M25?

 

we went out looking last night, tried opening random garages around orpington, ramsden, chiselhurst etc, but nothing!!!
where rscombi see it could be a possibilty, but Biggin Hill sounds the more likely place for it to go, esp as Paul said about Bish's car parts and a good mate of mine had his 3 door nicked from Farnborough and that turned up in Biggin Hill!!! Theres a fella up in Biggin Hill that has a reputation for taking cossies so that could be a better bet!!!
But why would they go to Biggin Hill via Orpington????????

 

The thing that gets me here..........Is A). how the hell do you hide a cosworth on a pikey site (joke BTW!) but more importantly B). With the 'big brother's watching you' society that's out there, why isn't their one camera thats picked out a pikey looking transit, with a rare coloured Esc Cos on the back, with smoke pouring from the back wheels!!!(assuming the handbrake wasn't released).

From where Rich lives you can be on the A20 within 5 mins, goin down to orpington then onto the A20 would mean goin back on yaself!!! the quickest way from Chiselhurst to Biggin Hill is past Bromley Girls High School, Blackbrook Lane, right onto Southborough Lane by the harvester, left into Magpie Hall Lane, left at the top, then up Oakley Road, past the Keston Mark, then up into Biggin Hill!!! I work in Biggin Hill and thats the route we take from Chiselhurst!!!

Yea Rad, the 3 door was found at a big house over the back of Biggin Hill, the police raided it for drugs i think and found it in the garage!!! My mate had been paid out and bought another so it was put on ebay, there was a thread on here a while ago about it!!!!

i was thinking yhe exact same thing i had seat cupra broken in to last year an theres only one way in to were i live theres a public cctv cam st the end of my street an they didnt get nack all on it. useless waste of money imho it took the fuzz 2 days of constant pestering to even come an print it. the door was bent over double an no such luck.

Rich - as per my txt, get the old bill to that postcode in Biggin Hill, i just spoke to a mate and the first thing he said was biggin hill!! Its not far from my work so may take a drive up there in a sec!!! Clarendon road would make sense as its more St Mary's Cray and would be a back way to shire lane then up here........

 

Can they be bothered though, Its obviously a big thing to us..........But its just another car to the police If we're honest?!

9 times out of 10 if your selling something you'll take the camera upto your garage or unit and take all the snaps there, i know i have done in the past.

So we potentially have the post code of where he may reside and if we can suss the registration on that Micra (providing its registered to where its parked) we may also be able to get the location of his unit?

 

Im 99% sure i know where the google earth pic is. The postcode in multimap comes up with the roundway bit, which is a small row of village shops. The pic from ebay and my memory looks like it is the left hand corner of the top building in the roundway bit. It looks like there might be some garages there...but they might just be council ones and the bloke rents it and lives somewhere else? :dunno:

Il be going up to biggin hill later so il have a look about on my drive through, and il tell my brother and all the people he works with up there to keep their ears and eyes peeled.

I just went down there!!! Paul, that bumper is in exacty the same place as the postcode mark on the map!!!! Like literally, bang in the same place!!!! I even think the micra was there jus now!!! Theres about 8 garages there, one with brand new bolts on it, could see my ugly mug in the reflection, but couldnt see into the garage at all!!!
