Default High pressure Header tank caps

Got a pace header tank on mine. The cap has started to release pressure so where do you get a high pressure cap from? I'm sure pace just supply the normal one

I've got a replacement cap on my bailey and releases pressure @ 98oc iirc

Steams rather well when your going down the back straight on a track day!

Does a normal yellow/black Ford cap fit it JB?

Bailey use a VW cap on their's Mk 2 Golf I think ??

Pace/Forge use the original Ford caps & Alex does a really nice black one !! better than the yello that stays yellow for like 10 seconds after removin from box !!

Your cap's might jus be old ?!?! You can hope

Rich,

Are you seeing high temps? It may be worth hooking up a pressure gauge to your cooling system, just T of one of the small pipes. I hope it's the cap but it's normally h/g issues that causes your symptom.

You could do a sniffer test in the header tank, that might be easier.

That does sound better!! Normally when it's H/G/F you will get water pushed past the cap when it's on boost, if that's not happening you might be lucky and it is just the cap. Get a new one on and let us know.

Vauxhall ones are black, and have a built in sender in them for a level light.
