It is probably the only fast FWD Ford in the world though.
By the way, it doesn't run nitrous as far as I'm aware. It has a turbo though.
If we are looking globally, the quickest GM cars are running 6s FWD on slicks.

We did this all about 8 pages ago

Are you not bored yet chap? Have you actually admitted to your real knowledge/experience? Have you admitted what you drive / don't drive?

Is this thread about standard cars?

NO.

And anyway, the engine is GM/Vauxhall

anyway, all acedemic, as the only reason I posted that was to show an example of a rwd vauxhall as that rs2.7 moron seemed to think they didnt exist, so was just showing him a victor, it wasnt intended to be a demonstration of production standard concours.

Well it's a waste of time posting up that Vauxhall Victor .
We're interested in the vauxhall 4 cylinder N/A and turbo street cars only on this thread . Plus anything with gas can fuck off as well .
So it's 13.2 secs at the Pod for the 2 litre N/A vauxhall corsa .
It's 11.6 secs at the pod for the 2 litre turbo vauxhall tigra .
These are the times for the FWD Fords too beat .

That 13.2 isnt the quickest FWD vauxhall off gas, but its still quicker than any N/A ford by a mile, so I wont bother going into the others, LOL

Yes those are the times to beat, and no the fords dont come anywhere near.

You seem to have missed this bit a couple of times by the way:

Well these are the vauxhall times too beat until chip changes his mind again . Those of you old enough (not the vauxhall gang of toddlers on here then) will remenber a blue mk1 XR2 with a H.T. racing 1700 X-flow engine in it . Well this N/A FWD Ford car ran low 13's at the Pod over 10 years ago with 1 cam , 8 valves and a set of points . This makes the 2 litre "super" vauxhalls with 2 cams and 16 valves seem a bit less impressive don't you think ?

That 13.2 is the quickest a corsa designed to run on gas, with low compression etc accordingly, ran off gas, its not the quickest off gas time ran by a road legal vauxhall, you seem to miss that point.
You need to be in the 12s to beat that

So now the N/A FWD vauxhall time has gone from 13.2 sec down to 12 something . It's like trying to get sense from your girlfriend .

The time qouted for the corsa in this thread off gas, is the quickest time off gas it has run, which is what you asked for.

Its NOT the quickest N/A vauxhall though.

Back on topic,

Is the quickest FWD 1/4 not by Paul Ripley in 12.xx at about 120mph iirc? I think a lot of these big power FWD fords should be doing better 1/4 times, but it all comes down to the poor gear box in most of the cars. I remember C&B saying he couldnt launch his car in anger because of the gearbox.

What are these 300-400bhp Focus RS cars doing on the 1/4 that I see mentioned in various peoples sigs? The standard car does 0-100mph in 14 seconds so surely the 300+ cars must shift a couple of seconds of this?

well had to put a post up, i own a stripped 1.8 xr2i and also a corsa b 2litre redtop, (which is for sale) i have to say in a straight line the corsa would win everytime, they both have the same suspenson mods, but i have to say if you put both on a handling course the fiesta would win in my opinion anyway having driven them both, maybe its just me as a ford nut through and through.

the thing i have to say about the redtop is it has power all the way throught the rev range and just keeps pulling were as the zetec doesnt. untill you spend money on it.

just my opinion anyway

Two runs to back it up aswell, 11.32 and 11.37 both @ 136mph.

Would also like to say congrats to the chap that races the Scirocco on bodies - nitrous solenoid failed but still went out and ran a 12.3. Road legal car - very very cool

great results from the vaux boys! shows how the game has moved on in fwd.
my mate andy nicholls rover 200 has run i believe a 10.8s @ 140+ on road legal tyres and i dont think the 10s fwd civic has done it on anything other than slicks altho i could be wrong. andy has also run a 10.4@ with terminals around 148 ish on slicks at pod and is hoping for high 9s next season on slicks. anything in the 10s tho on road legal tyres is outstanding in fwd

Sure his first run was a 12.08, could be wrong, the right hand lane signs were a bit dodgy today. Excellent time though
