Default Need help installing plug and play EEC4 Chip

ok after my last "attempt" i think it might be a good idea to seek some advice before attempting to perform this extremely simple task once again

the thing is you see the chips are "idiot proof" but unfortunately not "galbally proof"

so should i just plug it in and see what happens, or should i find a grown up to help me?

it will go in either way, but there is a notch in 1 end, line it up with the notch in the chip carrier

If you have to put a notch in a notch it will only go one way. Besides if you put it in the wrong way you can't put the ECU back in its spot.

Thoroughly de-grease the edge connector to remove all traces of grease and lacquer. This is very important to ensure a good connection. If the connection is poor, then the engine may not run properly and / or the ECU and Evolution modules may be irreparably damaged!!
Jim Reads: "Give the connector a quick wipe with your finger and it should be alright"

Carefully push the module supplied on the the edge connector, so that the edges are flush with the ECU as indicated in the picture
If you have any problems or concerns, don't hesitate to call us
jim Reads: "If it dont work first time around, try i plugged in upside down to see what happens"

Now how precisely did you manage to short circuit this module Jim?And we wont mention you cutting your fingers on scissors whilst doing it!

johnnyB, look on interford, i put a mini-review on there...

no point posting it here really as all the 24v owners who use here also use interford... lol

ive only driven the car chipped for about 20mins, but i was VERY impressed!

then i got a bit depressed when i filled it up with BP Ultimate and i didnt get change from 2 twenty pound notes
