bmw ews system problem

Default bmw ews system problem

recently bought e36 but lost keys been to bmw who cut a new key but doesnt work as locks have been changed in the past can i get by this system been told only way round it is new ecu/ews box/with matching keys.its a 95 96 model had a look to rewire the box but un sure can anybody help cheers

How about a loom etc and keys from a wreck in a scrapper? far cheaper than bmw charging million for new ones.

that what i thought but was hopeing it was a simpler fix or something that can disable it as ive got a new steering column and key just wont start cheers

i have taken ecu out and have all numbers from that if it helps cheers

lock smith should be able to do a immobilizer key cut to barrel and ecu 4 about 120 if i remember right

spoke to a guy who recodes keys and said that this system is akward and wants £300 not worth me doing it as only want the thing for a drift car to play about in cheers
