the older snapon mt2500 is basic but does well, ive been using one for couple years with eobd etc can do all the late stuff no prob

i too have been thinking of upgading, first thoughts was a solus, but after hearing about the launxh x 431 i was considering it, worry about upgrades though and what it cah do compared to my currect machine, as i can read vertually anything with eobd

typical example laguna tyre pressure sensors, its something that the modis and aparantly the launch can do?

the modis is an expensive machine if the launch can be compared to it it seems a good way to go.

not to sure about price off the top of my head, i've always found the snap on scanner to be nothing more than a glorified code reader, the launch scanner i've been using has been far better, it does things just not possible with the snap on,
the live data sreaming
actuator tests
immobilser tests
key programing
plus lots more i'd be here for a week talking about,
it must have been very reasonable price as my boss is a bit of a miser,
i'll try find out a price on monday when i'm back at work mate

i think the launch can be had for about 1500 if you look about.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REFURB-LAUNCH-...QQcmdZViewItem

it also appears like the chinese have got hold of it and cloned it like they did on the dashfixer mileage correction kit.

if the cloned units are priced well they will more than likely be worth a pop, although updates will be a problem.

havent actually found one though yet but all i see ont he genuine launch sites is them waffling on about clones having no warrentee and updates etc.

put it this way the mileage kit was 6000 from dashfixer, the cloned units were 1k and done everything as good as the real deal, they even hacked updates so you could update the machines
