Hey, im looking for some new decent work trousers, hard wearing, knee pads, loads of pockets etc...what u all recommend, Snickers, Bosch, Dewalt etc.....? any links to discount stuff as its all pricey , cheers. Also workwear steel cap trainers, what u got, i dont want boots.

i have steel toe shoes, dont like boots. and the trainers dont last IMO mate had some, were fucked after a month

at least with leather shoes etc they are bit more hard wearing

Craig, go for Snickers.....Keith thinks they are great... the knee pads that you get with em are tops too... There's a place in Batley near Tesco that's really cheap for stuff like that.

i find buying 3 pairs of general worktrousers from your average trade place at Ł15 per pair will outlast a single pair of snickers trousers at over Ł50. same with the work s/toe trainers. a Ł15 pair lasts just as long as a Ł50 pair.

maybe so but they never feel as comfortable imo cant stand cheap boots i paid Ł60 for mine and they did me for 2 years which i dont think is bad really same with snickers last me a year at least... thats only Ł1 a week think i can live with that

Snickers rep told me on the queit that the bosch ones are better......more hardwearing and cheaper.

been using jobman workpants for a few years now usual load of pockets

etc,and i found them very comfy and hard wearing.

i echo the comment on boots (use scruffs-pretty comfy),but i need the

support as i damaged my ankle years ago and shoes wont cut it.

you sound like my mate. when we go in for workwear he's posing in front of the mirror checking out what the new stuff looks like. i just pick up what i want and pay and go. its for work on a building site not a fooking fashion show

i got fed up of boots falling apart with a few months no matter how much they were to buy. i bought a pair of plain black dickies prison issue boots for Ł14 and theyre out lasting everything so far. they were a bit hard to break in at first but theyre still going strong and show no signs of falling apart yet.

I got my last pair of boots from Bummers and Queers. Cant remember the brand but they are lasting ages 30 squid

Ive always worn Snickers, and have no real complaints.....

As for boots....IMO Some of the best boots are the cheapest ones !!!!

got some dura kit trousers sat from b&q wore them for the 1st time today and im quite impressed have 14 pockets including 4 nail pouches mobile, knife pocket, hammer hook, detachable id badge clip, they have knee pads a thick waist line, and are a kevlar type material like a seat belt but thinner

will be buying the matching shorts and bib and braces
