J871yhk, try to use Alcohol 120% to burn the ps2 backups as it has a setting for PS2 rather than Nero that can sometimes create unwanted coasters

i must be really thick gareth cos i'm still not getting this.

what did you buy from modchipstore? was it just a hdd and the hdloader (or whatever disc)? or do you get something else with the hdd to connect it to the ps2 via network cable? or is the hdd a special network ready one?

iv'e just bought a 160 gb hdd for my pc that i needed anyway, but that's ide connection. or does the network adaptor for the original ps2 have an ide connection?

i see what you're doing now.

http://www.ps2nfo.com/hddfaq.html

that page shows everything so i understand what you do with the original ps2. you do just plug in an ide hdd. the new slimlime one doesn't have the space to do that and has the network stuff built in. no doubt that is on purpose to prevent people using hdd's with blatantly copied games.

maybe it would've been better if santay had've brought me the old version.

i guess that i'll just be backing up my games to dvd-r then, or can i connect the ps2 to the pc with spare shared hdd with network cable and use hdloader that way?
