question for all the traders
just got me thinking when a seen the post about the rs500 barn find
do yous traders get alot of people phoning u up tryin to sell you,s cars and there discriptions are far from true
as i,ve travelled many times from scotland to essex , southampton , lancaster to name just a few to be greated with a pile of shit
so as its your jobs and livelyhood(spelling) do yous get this regular too ?

Very few people are upfront about the true condition of a car unless they don't really want to sell it and then tend to be more honest as they have nothing to loose.
Best bet is to ask many detailed questions, and get detailed pictures even then no guarantee.
I dare say traders get their time wasted like all of us.

Think its the same for everybody really. I dont mind a haggle and dealing with people who are interested in a motor, dont expect them to buy it but if they like what they see you never know.
I always try to describe a car as honestly as possible, but that doesnt mean my opinion is the same as the potential buyers.
I just hate timewasters who are pennyless and ask a million questions, want pics of everything and have no real interest in purchasing anything.
Generally I find 9/10 people mis-describe their car/s to help push a sale...very frustrating.
