Just had a evo 6 come in at work as a trade in and im intrested in it but sadly know nothing about them!

few questions
1) what do i look out for on them? what goes?
2) what sort of money do these go for (dont know the millage yet but its on a v plate)
3) might be letting my mint 400atwhp twin turbo supra go for it am i nuts! lol

Best thing is to have a read on the MLR, but..

AYC operates ok (check light comes on with ign and goes off when started) check ayc isn't noisey when cornering hard, check clutch is good, syncros, gearbox noise (bearing) warped brake discs, noisey tappets, front suspension top mounts knocking, front diff bolts, fuel cuts (from sticky/rusted actuator) on WOT

you can get evo 6's as cheap as 7.5k for a really tatty one and upto 10k for a GSR. TME and RS and EXTREME versions go for more. clutches are the main thing to look out for and AYC light apart from that there a great car but wont keep up with your supra in a straight line but makes up for in different areas.

 

Have seen evo 6,s go for less than that mate lately
