Default Scars itching

I've got my fair share of scars but my latest addition to the gallery that is my arm has been playing up lately. Basically I had a brand new saw, and it sprung out of some wood and sliced my arm, about an inch long by an inch wide because the saw slid across, looked like fish gills when i'd done it!!!
Got it cleaned thoroughly and bandaged and it healed fine, but a few months on and its itching quite alot now.... I keep putting moisturiser on it and it helps but its getting a bit sore now, any ideas??
I did it about 4-5 months ago, so its fairly new, but it is completely healed.

Any help would be good.

Steve

Was gonna say the same as cozzymatt.

i have got tonnes of scars from various operations, and the best thing i have found for them is something called Bio Oil.

Mine used to itch until i could practically grate my skin off with a cheese grater, but this bio oil really really helped!

failing that, sudocrem!

I have a scar from my neck to my wrist to repair nerve damage
Fortunately they removed some sensory nerves so itching was never a prob
Mind you movement is

I've always used Preparation H, works a treat on anything that itches.

Or Bepanthen, which is less harsh (It's nappy rash cream), and is the best thing bar none to use on tattoos, so could be used on scars too, just make sure it's the thinnest, evenest layer spread over the surface as possible

i had quite thick scar tissue which used to itch for the first few months after surgery, when i started using Bio oil it helped ease it, dont have a problem with it now.
